Dermalux LED

If you would like to improve your skin’s tone, texture and resilience but without invasive treatments which can offer some lengthy downtime, we have just the treatment for you, here at Bank MediSpa in Hale, Cheshire. Dermalux LED is a completely pain-free light therapy which is relaxing and restoring. It can treat a myriad of skin concerns with no discomfort and no downtime afterwards.

What is Dermalux LED phototherapy?

Dermalux LED phototherapy uses the power of pure light energy to stimulate the skin in a natural and non-invasive action. It can resolve a wide-range of skin conditions from lines and wrinkles to acne, rosacea and redness. Red LED light increases the production of collagen and elastin, which can restore a more hydrated, smoother complexion. It will also shrink enlarged pores and even out the tone and texture of your skin. Blue LED light offers an anti-bacterial action for acne prone or congested skins.

Dermalux can offer the following benefits to all skin types:

• Reduces lines and wrinkles
• Stimulates the skin
• Reduces redness from wind burn or exposure to the elements
• Firms the complexion
• Treats skin conditions such as rosacea and acne
• Helps skin sensitivity

Am I suitable for Dermalux LED at Bank MediSpa?

Most patients will benefit from Dermalux LED, and as it is extremely non-invasive, all skin types can be treated. However, before any treatment can commence here at Bank MediSpa in Hale, Cheshire, we will ask that you attend a no obligation consultation, so that we can assess your individual concerns and assess your skin. We will also check your medical history to ensure that there are no contraindications to prevent or restrict your Dermalux treatment. Once both you and your practitioner are satisfied that Dermalux will be both safe and effective for you to undergo, you can book your first treatment session.

Are there any contraindications to Dermalux LED?

As with any cosmetic treatment, there are some contraindications to Dermalux. They include:

Which areas can Dermalux LED treat?

As it is so safe and non-invasive, Dermalux LED light can treat all areas of the face and body. However, the most common areas are the face, neck décolletage and the hands.

What happens during a Dermalux LED treatment?

The treatment is simple. After your skin is cleansed, you can lie back and completely relax under the chosen light suited best to your unique skin concerns and rest, sleep, meditate or simply de-compress. After the treatment you can return to your daily activities, refreshed and revitalised with no downtime or aftercare required.

When will I see the results from Dermalux LED?

Some results from a Dermalux LED phototherapy treatment may be seen within 24 to 48 hours, so it’s a perfect treatment to have a day or two before a party or a special event. At Bank MediSpa, we recommend 5 to 6 treatments, one week apart for optimum results. You can then add this therapy to any cosmetic treatments that you undergo, such as laser or a peel to aid healing and repair the skin.

How long will the results from a Dermalux course of treatments last?

If you undergo regular monthly Dermalux LED sessions, your results can be easily maintained. However, it’s still important to follow a healthy lifestyle and good skincare regime to maximise the results and observe optimum skin health. Lifestyle or environmental factors such as smoking, drinking too much alcohol, excessive sun-exposure and emotional stress can all have a significant effect on your skin. Leading a healthy lifestyle and getting plenty of rest can also benefit your skin on a long-term basis.
