Local anaesthetic is applied to the skin to minimise discomfort. They are generally not painful. However, treatment around the nose and lips tends to be more uncomfortable than other areas.
You will see the effects of fillers straight away. Your skin will be visibly plumped, smoother and contoured. However, you may have to wait for any redness, or swelling to go down, before you can get a better idea of your new look. The effects last for 6-9 months, after which time you can have a top up treatment.
A very fine needle is used for the treatment itself, making the whole process as comfortable as possible for you. Afterwards, there may be some redness, or swelling in the treated area, but this settles down very quickly
