What does dermal filler treatment involve?

By injecting fillers under the skin, Dr Ahmed can restore lost facial volume and plump up your thinning skin to give you a rejuvenated appearance. Sunken areas under the eyes and deep wrinkles in the skin are effectively filled in to give you a more even skin contour and consequently, a more youthful appearance.

Can anyone have dermal filler treatment?

As hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body, there are no huge risks with dermal filler treatment. It's not advised for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, as well as people on certain medications.

What areas can fillers treat?

Reduce deep nasolabial lines (the lines that run from your nose to your mouth.)

How long does filler treatment take?

The whole process takes 20-40 minutes. It depends on how many facial lines you are having treated. Once the treatment is over, there's no downtime. You'll be able to resume your everyday activities straight away.

How long do the effects of fillers last?

You’ll see the effects of fillers straight away. Your skin will be visibly plumped, with a smoother skin contour. However, you may have to wait for any redness, or swelling to go down, before you can get a better idea of your new look. The effects last for 6-9 months, after which time you can have a top up treatment.

Does it hurt?

Prior to treatment, Dr Ahmed will apply a mild anaesthetic cream. A very fine needle is used for the treatment itself, making the whole process as comfortable as possible for you. Afterwards, there may be some redness, or swelling in the treated area, but this settles down very quickly.
